Moraine Park Technical College is establishing a candidate pool for potential part-time Adjunct Faculty positions in Human Services at the Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, and West Bend campuses. These positions encompass Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Protection Technician, and Paramedic Technician. The roles of Adjunct Faculty are part-time positions with flexible class assignments and varying locations each term. The adjunct faculty instructor may be assigned to teach at different sites within the Moraine Park District, including campuses, centers, and business locations. There is a possibility of teaching during evenings, weekends, and online sessions. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Human Services, this individual plays a key role in delivering quality education within the district.

Job Qualifications:
- Criminal Justice: Associate’s Degree. Experience required in the content area being taught.
- Early Childhood Education: Associate Degree in related field. Must maintain CPR certification. Training experience in Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards, Pyramid Model, Strengthening Families, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or Train the Trainer for Abusive Head Trauma are preferred.
- Emergency Medical Specialist (EMS): Associate Degree in related field and experience with pre-hospital emergency care. Must be presently licensed or eligible for licensure by Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and must hold the following:Current license/certificate as Emergency Services Instructor II issued by the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services-Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Section.
Current licensure with the State of Wisconsin Current Basic Life Support Instructor certification with the American Heart Association. - Fire Protection Technician: Associate’s Degree (if only teaching CEU courses, there is no degree requirement). Must have current Wisconsin certification as a Firefighter II and Fire Officer (Driver/Operator – Pumper certification preferred). Must be certified at NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor Level 1. Commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with Tanker endorsement is preferred.
- *PT Faculty Occupational Experience Requirements. Two (2) years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience related to the program(s) being taught, including one (1) year (2,000 hours) of related paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five (5) years. In lieu of this one (1) year (2,000 hours) of recent experience, two (2) years of postsecondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five (5) years may be considered. (Two (2) years of post-secondary teaching experience means eight (8) semesters of part-time teaching or four (4) semesters of full-time teaching at an accredited institution.)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the College’s core values. Establish a professional and safe learning environment. Set the classroom tone by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior. Maintain a positive climate for learning by performing classroom management and being aware of, monitoring, and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.
- Meet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.
- Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)Submit grades within the expected timeframe.
- Complete required documentation and record keeping for Accrediting and Governing Agencies.
- Provide timely verbal and written feedback to the students to ensure continued growth and development.
- May participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.
- Assist with student recruitment and positively promote the College programs and services offered.
- Promote retention and student success through the utilization of referrals to College services and resources.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.
- Actively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices. Complete annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies. Complete all required training.
- Maintain equipment and supplies for the classroom and labs, as necessary to support the assigned program area and future trends in industry.
Other Position Requirements:
- Must satisfactorily complete health screen requirements, which may include criminal background check, drug test and/or verification of immunizations.
- Flexible scheduling may be required to include evenings and weekends.
- This position may require travel to MPTC (Moraine Park Technical College) campus locations other than the base location, client/contract work sites, and/or Department of Corrections (DOC) institutions.
Hiring Range: Adjunct pay rates may vary between $39.85 - $44.25/hour based on course configuration

Hours: Up to 10 hours per week pending course assignment(s)
