Position Summary:

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full-time Assessment & Contract Specialist.  This position will coordinate the process for the delivery of 38.14 contract training throughout the District. 

 

The successful candidate will have an associate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and two years of related experience required, including experience coordinating events and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an internal contact for business and industry clients relating to contract training for a designated portfolio of products throughout the District. Identify needs for training, technical assistance, and related services. Recommend appropriate College programs.
• Coordinate Economic and Workforce Development (EWD) customized training contracts with all instructional and operational units to ensure customer needs are met. Prepare and maintain schedules, classes, payroll records, participant and instructor materials, and contracts for customized instruction and technical assistance in accordance with District policies. Manage curriculum inventory and supplies.

• Manage the database for all customized training curriculum information, ensuring accuracy to support the sales and grant processes.
• Serve as the primary information resource for technology solutions that support students and staff in the delivery of customized training initiatives. Research, recommend, and oversee other technology solutions as needed. Identify areas for continuous improvement, research possible solutions, and provide recommendations for implementation.
• Establish and maintain contact with EWD customized training customers to ensure education and training needs are met. Address and resolve customer issues and complaints and promote additional College services based on understanding customer needs. Track utilization of services and contract revenue and prepare reports.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships with EWD online instructional providers. Develop strong relationships with teams throughout the College to improve services, communication, and the delivery of contract training.
• Support the writing, utilization, and reconciliation of grants that support customized training initiatives. Ensure proper reporting and documentation in accordance with all required guidelines.
• Administer the test assessment process for all external clients, including sales, pricing, coordination, facilitation of testing, and completion of reporting functions.

 

Experience & Qualifications(in addition to those listed in the summary above):

• Ability to understand and respond to the needs of business/industry clients, and integrate business needs with college policies.
• Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to provide a complete and timely explanation of issues and decisions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions with minimal direction.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism and a demonstrated ability to respect the confidentiality of information and demonstrate critical and systems thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Two years of experience working with customers, grants, and/or contracts.
• Experience in an educational setting.

 

 

Hiring Range: $29.38-$34.07

Starting: Immediately

Workplace Flexibility: Limited work from home upon approval

Hours/Schedule/Travel: Academic: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (37.5 hours), Summer: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (34 hours)
