Overview

Moraine Park Technical College is establishing a candidate pool for potential part-time Adjunct Faculty - Marketing and Social Media Management Instructor positions at the Fond du Lac and West Bend campuses. We are currently seeking an adjunct instructor to teach an in-person course beginning October 22, 2025. The class will run for a duration of eight weeks. This position requires travel between the Fond du Lac and West Bend campuses.

 

The roles of Adjunct Faculty are part-time positions with flexible class assignments and varying locations each term. The adjunct faculty instructor may be assigned to teach at different sites within the Moraine Park District. There is a possibility of teaching during evenings, weekends, and online sessions. Reporting directly to the Dean of Business, IT, and AI Innovation, this individual plays a key role in delivering quality education within the district. Position Summary:

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking part-time Adjunct instructors for our Marketing and Social Media Management program on our Fond du Lac and West Bend Campuses. The successful candidate will have a bachelors degree in a related field and two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experiences related to the program(s) being taught, including one year (2,000 hours) of paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five years. In lieu of this one year of recent experiences, two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years may be considered. (Two years of post-secondary teaching experience means eight semesters of part-time teaching or four semesters of full-time teaching at an accredited institution.)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the College’s core values. Establish a professional and safe learning environment. Set the classroom tone by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior. Maintain a positive climate for learning by performing classroom management and being aware of, monitoring, and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Meet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.
  • Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Submit grades within the expected timeframe.
  • Provide timely verbal and written feedback to the students to ensure continued growth and development.
  • May participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.
  • Assist with student recruitment and positively promote the College programs and services offered.
  • Promote retention and student success through the utilization of referrals to College services and resources.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.
  • Actively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices. Complete annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies. Complete all required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience with the following job duties:

  • Determine the need for and availability of financial resources to facilitate marketing activities
  • Develop and implement procedures and methods for continuous gathering, analyzing, and disseminating of information to facilitate marketing decisions
  • Manage marketing activities to optimize the relationships of potential loss to gain
  • Manage the process of developing product or service mix in response to market opportunities
  • Communicating information about products, services, images, and/or ideas to influence purchase behavior
  • Determine an exchange price at which buyer and seller perceive the optimum value for the good or service

Upon hire, must maintain and/or obtain Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Quality Assurance System, and other agency requirements and licensure required to maintain individual and program accreditation, if applicable.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
