Position Summary:

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a part-time BJA Grant Coordinator on the Fond du Lac Campus. The BJA Grant Coordinator will oversee the BJA Grant activities, including reporting, budget management, data collection and analysis, and overall grant coordination.  

 

The successful candidate will have an Associate degree in a related area and two years of related work experience in grant or project management, to include grant reporting or budget management.

 

This position is funded by a Bureau of Justice Assistance Grant (BJA) until September 30, 2026, with the potential of up to a one year additional extension.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the grant budget and complete grant budget maintenance.  Work with the Grant Accountant and other stakeholders to complete year end processes and reconciliations.  Oversee, compile and organize financial regulatory and compliance related documentation, audit information, and evidence as needed. Coordinate and prepare grant financial information for team and college Leadership. 
  • Collaborate with various college departments to collect, analyze and report necessary data for college and federal grant needs.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of projects, under the direction of the Associate Dean, including plans that clearly link project goals, outcomes, activities, timeframes, evaluation plan, spending targets, and employee assignments. Work with Institutional Effectiveness to complete data collection and analysis used in reporting and evaluation of specified grant.
  • Track grant spending as it supports and relates to the specific grant plan or other needs. Reconcile grant financial expenses, correct errors and maintain records to support grant requirements.  Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
  • Participate in the monthly/quarterly grant meeting with the Grants Accountant.  
  • Assist with grant related year end processes and reconciliations. 
  • Coordinate student book and supply orders.
  • Collaborate with DOC Navigator and program associate deans to help resolve student registration challenges.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to research, analyze and interpret data and prepare detailed reports.
  • Strong organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-reflective and feedback oriented.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions with minimal direction. 

 

 

Hiring Range: Based on a schedule of 164 days annually, the salary range for this position will be $38,700 - $44,893.

Starting: Immediately

Remote/Hybrid/In-Office: Limited work from home upon approval.

Hours/Schedule/Travel: 23 hours per week with flexibility allowed any day of the week within normal business hours Monday - Friday. Travel annually to Washington DC.
