Position Summary:

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a part-time Administrative Aide – Economic & Workforce Development on our Fond du Lac Campus.

 

The successful candidate will have an Associate degree in a related field and two years of related work experience, including providing administrative support to others.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative assistance and technical support to the Economic and Workforce Development leadership, and to the associated work teams. Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, prepare meeting agendas/materials, and record and disseminate meeting minutes.
• Coordinate purchases for equipment and supplies. Reconcile p-cards and expense reports. Maintain budget reports, to include grants and general funds.
• Develop and maintain efficient and confidential recordkeeping, reporting, and filing systems, and ensure current tracking of unit grant expenses.
• Ensure meeting rooms are fully functional, including set up/tear down and technology, to support EWD leadership.
• Assist EWD leadership with the onboarding of adjunct faculty.
• Work in coordination with all areas of the College to respond to and process student requests, as requested, to support EWD leadership
• Serve as the back-up for other EWD administrative team members.
• Provide a welcoming environment for visitors via telephone and in person. Serve as point of contact to triage for individuals based on a person’s identified needs and direct with the appropriate resource.
• Serve as an advocate for Economic and Workforce Development with employees and the community.
• Assist in the updating and maintenance of plans, policies, and procedures for the work teams.
• Research and work on special projects, as required.

 

Experience & Qualifications(in addition to those listed in the summary above):

• Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to provide a complete and timely explanation of issues and decisions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions with minimal direction.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism and a demonstrated ability to respect the confidentiality of information and demonstrate critical and systems thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

 

Hiring Range: $20.81-$24.13 (pending board approval)

Starting: July 2025

Workplace Flexibility: Limited work from home upon approval
