Position Summary:

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Coordinator on our Fond du Lac Campus. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for managing the full-life cycle recruitment process for adjunct faculty, temporary and student workers. In addition, this position provides recruitment support for all positions at the College and manages the applicant tracking system.

 

The successful candidate will have an Associate degree in Human Resources or a related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable principles and practices of human resources knowledge and abilities can be acquired and two years of experience in coordinating, case management, recruitment, project or process management, with Human Resources experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize targeted recruitment strategies for open positions and ensure fair, timely and effective recruitment, selection and hiring of all employees that align with diverse labor markets and College values. Partner with hiring managers to coordinate the recruitment, hiring and initial onboarding of adjunct faculty, student worker, and temporary positions.
• Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to provide a wide variety of recruitment support. Exercise independent judgment in providing high-level support to walk-in and phone applicants, candidates, and hiring supervisors. This includes making decisions regarding the status of applications and job openings, processing data, verifying candidate education, licensure, and certification, conducting records and reference checks, and managing other related activities.
• Lead efforts to build and maintain a robust pipeline of passive and active candidates. Continually scan and review resumes for current and future positions to support pipeline development using a variety of sourcing efforts such as cold calling, active networking, employee referrals, social media, strategic advertising, professional associations, and state agencies. Research recruitment and selection methodologies and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Review and qualify potential candidates for assigned open positions by engaging in phone and video screens and presenting recommendations to hiring manager for review. Facilitate the interview experience with hiring teams.
• Coordinate candidate interviews, including scheduling video interviewing, travel and/or hotel arrangements as required. Prepare and organize interview materials under direction from the hiring supervisor and Talent Acquisition leader.
• Manage applicant data via the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and move candidates through the recruitment process. Track recruitment information and compile reports. Contact ATS vendor for trouble shooting, new releases and functionality support. Support the ATS training process for hiring supervisors.
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and others to update the College Careers webpage to reflect the College brand and support the College’s recruitment and retention strategies. Recommend improvements in work flow, procedures, and HR related website content.
• Complete all pre-hire background checks for candidates as outlined in College procedures (i.e. criminal arrest and conviction records, references, caregiver, certification, etc.). Assure compliance of applicable laws and confidentiality in process and procedure.
• Assemble human resource materials, prepare, distribute, scan and index correspondence and documents in the areas of wage changes, personnel records, position classifications, performance evaluations and other human resources documents. Manage personnel records. Assist with special projects and assignments as requested.

 

Experience & Qualifications (in addition to those listed in the position summary above):

• Excellent sourcing skills and demonstrated knowledge of current sourcing practices and approaches.
• Experience using social network platforms to promote branding and drive traffic to open positions.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing resumes for job requirements and candidates’
qualifications.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to influence and work with all levels of internal and external customers with demonstrated professionalism and confidentially.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to analyze information, resolve problems and make recommendations.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism and a demonstrated ability to respect the confidentiality of information and demonstrate critical and systems thinking.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions with minimal direction. Must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply employment laws, contract language and procedures/policies.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and HR information systems. Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).

Hiring Range: $61,430 - $71,259 (pending board approval)

Starting: Immediately

Workplace Flexibility: Limited work from home upon approval
