Moraine Park Technical College is establishing a candidate pool for potential part-time Adjunct Faculty positions in Trades and Apprenticeships at the Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, and West Bend campuses. These positions encompass ABC Carpentry Apprenticeship, Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology, Automotive Technology, Barbering, Civil Engineering Technician – Structural, Cosmetology, Cosmetology Apprenticeship, Culinary Arts, Electrical Power Distribution, ABC Construction Electrician Apprenticeship, Electricity, Gas Utility Construction and Service, Tool and Die Technologies Apprenticeship, Truck Driving, Wastewater Treatment Plan Operator Apprenticeship, and Water Quality Technology. The roles of Adjunct Faculty are part-time positions with flexible class assignments and varying locations each term. The adjunct faculty instructor may be assigned to teach at different sites within the Moraine Park District, including campuses, centers, and business locations. There is a possibility of teaching during evenings, weekends, and online sessions. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Trades and Apprenticeships, this individual plays a key role in delivering quality education within the district.

The candidate pool will be open from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. Job Qualifications:

1. For ABC Carpentry Apprenticeship: No degree required. Certificate of Apprenticeship from the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS) or federally or other state registered program preferred. OSHA-30 Cardholder preferred. Experience required in the content area being taught.
2. For Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology: Associate’s Degree or equivalent. Universal Refrigerant Certification or OSHA-30 Cardholder preferred. Experience required in the content area being taught.
3. For Automotive Technology: Associate Degree. ASE Certification is required. Experience required in the content area being taught.
4. For Barbering: Successful completion of a state approved Cosmetology or Barbering program. Must hold Cosmetology or Barbering License from State of Wisconsin Department of Safety Professional Services. Experience required in the content area being taught.
5. For Civil Engineering Technician – Structural: Associate Degree. Experience required in the content area being taught.
6. For Cosmetology: Technical Diploma. Must have completed Cosmetology Diploma Program, Wisconsin Licensing Exam, and Cosmetology Instructors course approved by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. Experience required in the content area being taught.
7. For Cosmetology Apprenticeship: No degree required. Must be accredited by the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. Must have a certificate of Apprenticeship from the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS) or a federally registered program. Experience required in the content area being taught.
8. For Culinary Arts: Associate Degree. Individuals must provide documentation of current certification as a ServSafe Instructor or ServSafe Food Manager and a copy of a minimum 90% test score by the National Restaurant Association Solutions. Experience required in the content area being taught.
9. For Electrical Power Distribution: No degree required. Completion of an industry-recognized line worker apprenticeship, OSHA-30 Cardholder, or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A license preferred. Experience required in the content area being taught.
10. For ABC Construction Electrician Apprenticeship: No degree required. Must have an apprenticeship completion certificate from the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS) or federally registered program. Must hold or be eligible to hold a Master Electrician License from the State of Wisconsin. Must meet and maintain certification requirements for the Electrician Apprentice Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) program area established by the Wisconsin Technical College System. OSHA-30 Cardholder preferred. Experience required in the content area being taught.
11. For Electricity: No degree required. Certificate of Apprenticeship from the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS) or a federally registered program or OSHA-30 Cardholder preferred. Experience required in the content area being taught.
12. For Gas Utility Construction and Service: Technical Diploma. Must be able to prepare students to obtain Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Experience required in the content area being taught.
13. For Tool and Die Technologies Apprenticeship: No degree required. Must have Certificate of Apprenticeship from the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS) or a federally registered program. Experience required in the content area being taught.
14. For Truck Driving: No degree required. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with airbrake endorsement is required. Experience required in the content area being taught.
15. For Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Apprenticeship: No degree required. Must have Certificate of Apprenticeship from the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS) or a federally registered program. Experience required in the content area being taught.
16. For Water Quality Technology: Associate Degree. Experience required in the content area being taught.
17. PT Faculty Occupational Experience Standards. Two (2) years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience related to the program(s) being taught, including one (1) year (2,000 hours) of related paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five (5) years. In lieu of this one (1) year (2,000 hours) of recent experience, two (2) years of postsecondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five (5) years may be considered. (Two (2) years of post-secondary teaching experience means eight (8) semesters of part-time teaching or four (4) semesters of full-time teaching at an accredited institution.)
