  • Overview

    This position will provide technical assistance to the I.T. Department’s User Services staff during the summer computer lab upgrades on college owned hardware and software. 


    1. Assist Moraine Park’s computer technical support staff with hardware and software upgrades.
    2. Be willing to unbox and install equipment; accurately update hardware and software inventory databases; follow the asset disposal process for equipment being removed from service; apply images to computers and follow documentation to install and/or configure software installed on lab computers.  
    3. Perform field visits to MorainePark users with problems that cannot be resolved via the phone through the Central Help Desk.
    4. Use the Internet to research problems and their solutions.


    1. Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems.
    2. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects effectively and work independently.
    3. Must take direction from others and work well in a team environment.
    4. Must act in a professional manner.
    5. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
    6. Ability to lift 55 lbs.
    7. Must have taken or currently be enrolled in the Computer Hardware/Software Support courses (154-117 & 154-116).
